Sindupalchok district is an amazing place to visit in terms of its hills, nature and population. It was also one of the most affected districts during the 2015 earthquake. A few months after the earthquake first Sindupalchok international trail race was organized by the community, through which the construction of 6 temporary learning centers in the surroundings of Thulo Sirubari was supported to keep children learning as schools were rebuild. The success of both the race and the projects supported through it made that we have organized an annual international trail race since, supporting access to water and the establishment of a foodbank. Last year, the race supported the distribution of self learning packs for children as schools remained closed for most of the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 7th edition of the Sindupalchok international trail race will take place on September 24th, 2022. The 60 km runners will start in the village of Thulo Sirubari, the 28 km runners will be driven to Jalbire. You will enjoy the hospitality and will be fueled with a good Dal Bhat in the evening after which the 60 km runners will be provided with tents on the school ground that has since replaced the temporary learning center, and served a local breakfast in the morning.

This is not the easiest of trail races but you will not regret getting to see a part of Nepal that you have not seen before and ending up sitting in the beautiful Last Resort, or even deciding to do some stretching by signing up for a bungy jump.
